Who we are

“Renewable Energy is not an alternative, but a necessity.” – Per Witalisson, CEO, Eolus

Where We're From

The Kulning Wind Energy Project (KWEP) is owned by Crescent Peak Renewables, LLC (CPR), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Eolus North America, Inc. that is dedicated to bringing clean, renewable energy to Nevada and other regions of the U.S.  We currently have offices in Reno, Nevada and La Jolla, California.  Our employees are from several Western States and Sweden.

We are thoroughly experienced and strongly fortified to develop, construct and operate utility-scale wind systems that will benefit local communities and the region as a whole, and our team members have been developing wind projects since the early 1980´s.

We will be working with the Bureau of Land Management to evaluate the impacts of developing the Kulning Wind Energy Project.  As proposed, this project will provide career opportunities for Southern Nevada and neighboring regions, while providing enough clean energy to power 80,000 to 100,000 homes on an annual basis.  We are committed to bringing economic growth and sustainable activity to the region by providing long-term jobs in one of the fastest growing, most innovative industries in the country.

Eolus North America, Inc. practices efficient development strategies and has extensive knowledge of where and how wind farms should be built for optimal generation with minimal impacts.  Creating value is inherent to our extensive experience – including the ability to account for people, the landscape, the environment and society throughout the value chain.

Economic Growth and Job Creation

Environmental Stewardship

The Kulning Wind Energy Project will work closely with the National Park Service, the Bureau of Land Management, Nevada Department of Wildlife and interested environmental groups to ensure that impacts to Nevada public and private lands are minimized.

If determined necessary through ongoing environmental and cultural studies, we are open to potential investment into technologies to protect any potentially impacted or threatened species.

In 2020, US wind energy projects prevented 198 million metric tons of CO2 emissions annually, which is equivalent to 43 million cars’ worth of emissions annually.

In 2020, there were over 120,000 Americans employed by the wind industry and that number is increasing every year.

The Kulning Wind Energy Project will create direct economic benefits to Clark County and various neighboring regions, including tribal communities.

During the 18-month construction period, the project will create between 200-400 skilled jobs and 80 to 150 induced jobs in the region. After construction, the project will create 8 to 20 permanent jobs for O&M and 17-34 induced jobs in the surrounding area.

Revenues derived from property and sales taxes on the project will create substantial benefits to local schools and Clark County while helping promote investment in infrastructure and job growth.

Community and Social Commitment

We are dedicated to active involvement, collaboration and transparency with the communities adjacent to our wind energy facilities.

This includes holding public workshops to share project updates, address public concerns and discuss potential mitigation strategies.

Additionally, Kulning Wind will develop a Community Betterment Fund during early development, construction, as well as during the operations and maintenance period, that would directly benefit local communities.  This includes direct investment into education, health, youth and veterans programs, facility upgrades and sponsorship of local events.
